Fender bass gouge

This beautiful bass with a Walnut body had deep gouges around the truss rod area where the neck meets the body. I was able to grind up a slurry mixture of walnut , rosewood and ebony to match the color. Using multiple passes with different grades of sandpaper and hand buffing I was able to make the damage almost invisible.
