Whether you play guitar, bass, violin, trumpet or any other string, brass or woodwind musical instrument keeping your instrument stored in its case when not I use is an idea good for many reasons. Keeping your musical instrument stored in its case protects it from structural damage when not in use. And just as important it protects the instrument from environmental changes as well.  It can protect your musical instrument from sudden changes in excessive humidity or low humidity. It can also protect your musical instrument from the harsh damage that the sun may cause to its finish or structure from constant exposure.

In my many years as a musical instrument repair technician I have also seen damage done to musical instrument finishes from airborne chemicals. These include household cleaning solvents, bug spray, hair spray and most other airborne propellants. Keeping your musical instrument stored in its case is essential for a prolonging the life of your musical instrument and will minimize musical instrument repairs that will be needed now and in the future.

If your musical instrument has been damaged due to any of the above scenarios or if you need a case for your musical instrument call or contact us and we will be glad to help!
